The Lincoln County Environmental Office is
responsible for the following services:
- Operation,
maintenance and repair of the Public Drainage Systems.
- Implementation and
enforcement of the State Statute Chapter 7020 Rules governing feedlots.
- The regulation of
development in Lincoln County per our zoning ordinance and planning of
development through our Comprehensive Land Use Plan.
- Implementation of
the Individual Septic Treatment System Program.
- Administer the Low
Interest Loan programs available for residents to upgrade their septic
systems.
- Implementation and
enforcement of our Solid Waste Plan and Ordinance.
- Education,
organization, implementation of our County Wide Recycling Program and
Pickup.
- Operation of the
County Landfill Transfer Station.
- Household
Hazardous Waste Collections and Disposal.
- Enforcement of
Noxious Weed Law for the State and Lincoln County.
- Regulation of
certified seed dealers and periodic inspections and sampling.
- Placement and
management of Bio-Control Area for noxious weeds (i.e. leafy spurge,
musk thistle).

The purpose of the HHW Program
is to:
Provide area residents with
facilities to property dispose of hazardous wastes.
Inform area residents with
information regarding hazardous materials.
Through the HHW Program:
Hazardous waste disposal services are provided at no cost.*
Residents are provided with hazardous waste disposal information. |
